Usain Bolt has been added to the list of Racers Track Club athletes who will compete at the Camperdown Classic athletics meeting to be held this Saturday 9 February at Jamaica’s National Stadium in Kingston. It is expected that he will run the 400 metres to open his competitive season.
Bolt is the world record-holder and two-time Olympic champion in both the 100 and 200 metres. He will join thirty other athletes from Racers Track Club at their season-opening event. In addition to Bolt, the team of male and female athletes from the world’s premier sprinting club will include fellow Olympians Yohan Blake, Warren Weir, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Edino Steele and Schillonie Calvert from Jamaica as well as Antigua’s Daniel Bailey. Cache Ambrister from the Bahamas, who recently joined the club, is also expected to compete.
