Racers Track Club takes to the stage again at the Weltklasse Zurich on Thursday 30 August. No less than seven of its athletes will grace the track in a number of different events.
Fresh from her win in Birmingham on the weekend, Rosemarie Whyte will run the women’s 400 metres against an even stronger field including all the medalists and main contenders from the London Olympics.
The men’s 200 metres will feature three of Racers’ cohort of furlong specialists. Warren Weir and Jason Young will try to share the spotlight with Olympic champion and record-holder Usain Bolt.
The men’s 100 metres will have Yohan Blake running in the feature race; while Mario Forsythe and Kemar Bailey-Cole will contend for honours in the second pre-programme race. It is also anticipated that an all-Racers team could represent Jamaica in the 4×100 metres relay to draw down the curtain for the meet.
