Racers athletes took the top two places in the men’s 200 metres race at the Diamond League Meeting Areva at the Stade St Denis in Paris on Saturday. Usain Bolt won in a world-leading 19.73 seconds (wind +0.2), followed by Warren Weir in 19.92. Another Racers athlete, Jason Young, came in fourth in a season’s best 20.12. Third place was taken by France’s Christophe Lemaitre (20.07) with Jamaica’s Nickel Ashmeade fifth in 20.21.
Ristananna Tracey came sixth in the women’s 400 metres hurdles in 55.33 seconds. The race was won by Zuzana Hejnova of the Czech Republic in 53.23, a national record. Jamaica’s Kaliese Spence came fifth in 55.22.
