Schillonie Calvert Third in 100s

Schillonie Calvert for the first time secured her place as an individual entrant in an event at the senior world level, when she placed third in the final of the women’s 100 metres in a season’s best 11.07 seconds (wind 0.9) at Jamaica’s National Championships Friday night. The winner was Kerron Stewart in 10.96; Sherone Simpson was second in 11.03.
