Rosemarie Whyte of Racers Track Club ran a valiant second leg to help Jamaica take home the bronze medal in the women’s 4×400 metres relay at the Olympics in London Saturday evening. She was running her fifth quarter-mile race of these Olympics, after the three rounds of the individual 400 and the semi-final of the relays a day earlier — a race she victoriously anchored to secure Jamaica’s place in the final. Jamaica’s time in the final was 3:20.95, behind the USA 3:16.87 and Russia 3:20.23.
Well done, Rosie.
