Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake both won their 100 metres heats in comfortable fashion Saturday morning to advance to Sunday’s semi-finals at the London Olympics. Their compatriot Asafa Powell also advanced in similar fashion. Bolt clocked 10.09 (wind 0.4 metres per second); Powell 10.04 (wind 0.0); Blake 10.00 (wind 1.3).
On Sunday Bolt, Blake and Powell will run in three separate semi-finals with a runner from Trinidad, Britain and the USA accompanying them in each race.
