By June 7, 2012 No Comments

For the second time in less than a week, Usain Bolt has won a 100 metres race in less than 9.8 seconds. Today at the Bislett Games in Oslo, the world record-holder and reigning Olympic champion won in 9.79 seconds (wind +0.6 metres per second) relegating his compatriot Asafa Powell to second place in a season’s best 9.85. Third in 10.10 was another Jamaican, Lerone Clarke.

Just last Saturday in Rome, Bolt led home Powell in a world-leading 9.76 seconds.

This will be Bolt’s last competitive 100 metres before the Jamaican National Championships at the end of June.
