Racers entered two 4X100m relay teams for men, two 4X400m for men and one 4X400m relay team for women at the 2012 Gibson relays.
In our first event on the track, the 4X400m for men, both teams qualified for the finals with the first and second fastest times. Then came the 4X100m for men and again, both teams qualified for the finals.
The first final event, 4X100m for men, saw team one – Racers Lions, Kimmari Roach, Remaldo Rose, Mario Forsythe and Yohan Blake running a world leading time of 38.48s to win the event. The second team comprising, Andre Wellington, Warren Weir, Marvin Anderson and Kemar Bailey-Cole placed second in 38.76s, the second fastest time this year.
Shereefa Lloyd, Rosemarie Whyte, Davita Prendagast and Ristananna Tracey, were not to be outdone by the boys in their 4X400m event. They ran in that order to win in a time of 3:31.51s.
The finals of the 4X400m relay for men, although one team did not show, the other team of Javere Bell, Warren Weir, Demar Murray and Yohan Blake, gave an excellent performance with a winning time of 3:05.9s.
