The Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) has confirmed the results of the National Championships as the basis for Jamaica’s track and field contingent to the Olympics in London. All athletes placing in the top positions and who have achieved the Olympic qualifying standards have been named to the team.
As anticipated, there are eleven Racers athletes on the 47-member Athletics team: Yohan Blake, Usain Bolt, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Warren Weir, Jermaine Gonzales, Edino Steele, Josef Robertson, Schillonie Calvert, Rosemarie Whyte, Shereefa Lloyd and Nickeisha Wilson.
