Twenty year-old Kemar Bailey-Cole ran a personal best time of 20.83 seconds (-0.1 wind) in the 200 metres at the second All-Comers’ Meet put on by the JAAA at Jamaica’s National Stadium on Saturday 19 May. This was his first race for the season over this distance and the fastest overall time at the meet. It was also one of a number of commendable performances by Racers athletes.

Notable among the women were season’s best times by the quarter-milers Shereefa Lloyd (52.39) and Ristananna Tracey (52.98). Davita Prendergast (52.69) fell one-hundredth of a second short of her season’s best; but showed that she is well on the road to recovery from an earlier injury.

Apart from Bailey-Cole, a couple of other young athletes also registered personal bests. These were Bernado Brady, 10.42 in the 100 metres (-0.6 wind); and Demar Murray, 46.89 in the 400 metres.
