Rosemarie has been dreaming about running sub-50 for a long time. Although this is not the same as winning a major championship, it is crossing a significant hurdle along the way to achieving her ultimate goal of winning a medal at the World Championship and the Olympics. That is why she cried after the race in London on August 6, 2011, where she ran 49.84s to place second in the 400m. It is an affirmation and a big confidence booster for this lanky Holmwood past student.

In an interview after the race she said, “I am so happy for the day I went to Racers. I want to thank coach Mills, coach Bert and the rest of the Racers family. they have made my dream come to light. I could not ask for more. Without them, I could not have done it. All my hard work paid off.” She also had this to say to others. ” I am also thanking Kero (Kerone Robinson), he has played a big role in my life and my friends and family.”

She doesn’t mind the fact that there is no room for anything but training and competition now, because she wants to do well and make her country proud.
