Racers Track Club has once more lived up to its name as The Capital of Excellence by providing three of the national team flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics. Triple gold medalist Usain Bolt was Jamaica’s flag bearer. The Antiguan flag was carried by his club-mate Daniel Bailey. The trio was completed by one of the African athletes who has trained in Kingston with Racers Track Club in recent years — Sanneh Suwaibo — carrying the flag of the Gambia.
