Mario Forsythe registered a season’s best 20.33 seconds (wind -0.7) to win the men’s 200 metres at the Istvan Gyulai Memorial Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest on Monday evening 20 August.
The same evening, at the Gugl Games in Linz (Austria) Jason Young came third in the men’s 100 metres in 10.15 seconds (wind 0.0) behind fellow Jamaicans Nickel Ashmeade (10.03) and Michael Frater (10.13). Allodin Fothergill came fifth in the 400 metres in 45.51; the race was won by Grenada’s Kirani James in 44.46.
Also in Linz, Samantha Henry-Robinson won the women’s 100 metres in 11.15 (wind -0.1) then returned to take third place in the 200 metres in 22.85. Shermaine Williams was fifth in the 100 metres hurdles in 13.04.
