A large contingent of Racers athletes will take part in the Cayman Invitational meet at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex this Wednesday.

At the top of the list is triple world-record holder and repeat Olympic double sprint gold medalist Usain Bolt, who will run his first competitive 100 metres of the season. Also running the 100 metres for men are Olympians Daniel Bailey (Antigua) and Kemar Bailey-Cole (Jamaica) as well as Kimmari Roach.

The men’s 200 metres will feature Kenroy Anderson and Darrion Bent. The men’s 400 metres will have several participants representing Racers: Edino Steele, Allodin Fothergill, Riker Hylton, Mario Forsythe, Garfield German and Peter Matthews. Another large group, however, is the five participants in the 400 metres hurdles for men: Shavon Barnes, Javarn Gallimore, Andre Clarke, Annsert Whyte and Demar Murray.

Olympian Schillonie Calvert is the best known of the Racers women taking part. She will run the 100 metres and 200 metres. Deandre Whitehorne will run the 100 metres.

The 200 metres for women will see Cache Armbrister and Celia Walters competing. Bobby-Gaye Wilkins will run the 400 metres.

Completing the contingent from Racers will be Ristananna Tracey, who runs in the 400 metres hurdles for women — hoping to improve on her 55.66 seconds run at last Saturday’s Jamaica Invitational meet in Kingston.
