Yohan Blake’s run in Zurich, showed the world that his win at the World championships last week was not by accident. He leaves everyone now with the question, “What if?”

In spite of his late start from the blocks, Yohan was able to catch the field and lead by a significant margin of 0.13s to beat Asafa Powell who could only manage a second place finish in 9.95s. What if the wind speed was not 0.0m/s? Would that 9.82s. be about 9.72s. with a +1.6m/s wind? We anxiously await the 200m in Berlin on Sunday.

Jermaine Gonzales’ 45.39s. in the 400m placed him third at the finish line. It has been a long season for this athlete who lost so much training time because of injury.
